Maschinen- und Behälterbau GmbH, known as MABE, based in Daaden (Rhineland-Pfalz), has been producing customized vacuum, pressure, and high-pressure vessels for various applications since 1967. These include vessel solutions for the compressed air industry, construction industry, environmental technology, for compressed air preparation, or for oxygen storage. Both serial production of vessels and custom-made vessels with variable vessel volumes from one liter to 35,000 liters are possible. The continuous monitoring of weld seam quality is ensured by our own X-ray system on-site. The company employs around 40 people and is a subsidiary of Walter Henrich GmbH.

Technology

Through the application of dedicated, consequent oriented towards product quality and economical equipment, we are able to produce consumer oriented pressure equipment in all different diameters, volume and pressure categories. Our design and manufacturing capabilities range from
- CAD / 3D supported calculation and drawing creation
- Via bending and welding equipment ranging up to 2,600 mm and part weights of up to 6 tons.
- Pressure testing equipment with capacity of 30,000 litres and pressures up to 150 bars.
- In addition, we create vessel documentation in all European languages.
With MABE Smart Control, we enable full transparency in the compressed air supply of your entire system. The retrofit sensor solution allows you to detect leaks early to prevent energy waste and costly production downtime. All relevant data is always available in the clear MABE Smart Control app.

- Through our modern x-ray equipment, personnel and our pressure, ultra sound our qualified and magnetic particle testing, we are able to monitor our manufacturing processes in real time.
- We are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 und DGRL 2014/68/EU, Module H/H1 specifications and implemented a quality system, which exceeds the requirements of 9001:2008 and the HP0
- Safety is the top priority during the production of pressure vessels. For that reason we apply an additional Longitudinal inner weld seam to the regular outer weld.

The two brothers Klaus and Bernd Henrich take over the management
1995
Two is better than one, therefore the double longitudinal weld becomes the new standard of all MABE vessels.
2002
Conversion and certification according to the pressure equipment guide line 97/23/EG Module H/H1
2015
As the first German manufacturer, we offer standard vessels from 150 litre to 3,000 litre volume minimal operating temperature of -20°C and without additional cost
2021
MABE becomes part of the internationally active Poppe + Potthoff Group
2024
Stop flying blind – introduction of the innovative sensor system to make compressed air costs transparent: MABE SMART CONTROL
2025
Exit from the Poppe + Potthoff Group – new shareholder structure at Walter Henrich GmbH (Henrich Holding GmbH and Hentzen Beteiligungen GmbH each hold 50%).
